Functions :

Coordination of foreign projects of Asian Development Bank, UNCHS/UMP/UNDP, GTZ (Germany), DFID (UK), European Union, World Bank and Study Tours.
Preparation of reports on Continuous Improvement of Council activities.
Coordination of the Mayor’s Steering Committee, Institutional Development Committee, Central City Watch and Advisory Committees.
Coordination of work related with the National Chapter of Mayors – Sri Lanka (A City Net affiliate)
Preparation of Presentations and reports for the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Municipal Commissioner and Deputy Municipal Commissioners when representing the Council at Local and International Forums.
The Centre liases with International Local Government Institutions such as CityNet, Metropolis and City of Yokohama, Japan Colombo is an Executive Committee Member of the CityNet.
Coordination of Partnership Programs with Private Sector and other stakeholders.
Coordination of activities related with the Institutional Development assigned by the Senior Management from time to time.
