It is indeed a pleasure to be associated with new additions and improvements to the Web site of the Colombo Municipal Council, yet another initiative in the history of the Local Governance in Sri Lanka.

I sincerely hope that the people of the other parts of the world and Sri Lankans living and working overseas will be able to be in touch with Colombo’s development activities. The Web Site contains a facility where a Form is provided for making contact with the Council through e-mail for requests and complaints.

Information and Communication Technology offers an incredible range of opportunities and a time will come for the people of Colombo to conduct business through this Web-Site such as payment of rates and taxes and obtaining the details of their arrears, property taxes etc., without calling over at the Council, to mention a few advantages.
