Ayurvedic Treatment for those who prefer Native Medicine

There are 18 Ayurvedic Dispensaries staffed with qualified Ayurvedic Physicians, providing Diagnosis and Treatment FREE of charge. There are 4 Clinics headed by Specialist Physicians, for treatment on Diabetes Melitis, Hyperlipidemia, Vitiligo and Arthritis.

There is a Drug Manufactory at Dematagoda, for producing 90% of the requirements of Medicines, combining most ancient manufacturing methodology and modern technology. The department has a Herbarium and Plant Nursery with rare medicinal plants. This is used as an Educational Centre for conducting Awareness Programmes on Indigenous Medicine and visited frequently by foreign guests, school children other interested adults.

Our dispensaries are open from 8.30 am to 12.00 noon and 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm on weekdays and from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon on Saturdays
